With over 60 million iPhone, Android, and other smartphone devices saturating the market, “Mobile Video Revenue to Double by 2014,” will generate $35.1 million in mobile video advertisement revenue, just for this year.
When Coke Zero created the Facial Profiler, a free Facebook app, they targeted 13-30 year olds, and came up with their mobile video advertisement: “Coke Zero has Coke’s taste – is it possible that someone out there has your face?” in “Coca-Cola Mobile Video Advertising Outperforms Online Counterpart” powered by iVdopia.
Coke’s Zero ad application improved CTR for mobile video, 250 percent higher than other average click-through rates, according to iVdopia data. Since viewers were curious on finding a face that looked like theirs, 19 million viewed the ad (reaching 1 million unique viewers), with average viewing time greater than 9 minutes.
