Every year Q104 Q Cares for Kids and Londrico’s Christmas Trees partner to raise funds for the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital, the first 104 customers for a $1.04 donation (and up) received a Christmas tree.

If you missed the Londrico’s Tree Giveaway, which was on December 1, you can make a card to SANTA FEE at the Q104 station 1 Radio Lane, Cleveland, OH 44144.

The Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital has been providing pediatric care since 1921, with more than 80 pediatric physicians recognized among the “Best Doctors in America” and they have been consistently ranked the “Best Children’s Hospital” by US News and World Report.  Their expertise in pediatric cardiovascular intervention and surgical programs, including the ECMO heart-lung bypass, and the Congenital Heart program with 4 CT surgeons and 15 board certified cardiologists, provide world class care.  Other pediatric care includes transplants, cancer, dialysis, digestive disorders, child neurology and epilepsy, and behavior health.

It’s not too late to get involved to support the children at the Children’s for Christmas and there are three ways you can get involved.

  1. A monetary gift to the Children’s Hospital may be a one-time or sustaining gift designated in an area of greatest need or you can select among 8 focus programs.  Gifts can also be made as matching with your employer.
  2. If you wanted to get more hands on the Clinic has a wish list registry with called “Child Life Wish List.”  They currently have 474 items for purchase ranging from a $5 stationery and stickers pocket journal, $2.29 Dazzle Stickers, $2.95 Green Craft Sand, $2.99 Goofy Bands Medical Shapes, to Apple iPod Touch 32GB for $279.95, and many other gifts.
  3. Why not start volunteering for the Children’s Hospital?  The gift that keeps giving year round.  The Children’s Hospital has volunteer opportunities in pet therapy, the cancer institute, and become a volunteer, which is a Cleveland Clinic Ambassador in other areas, too.  The Clinic provides free on-campus parking, free meal for every 4 hours volunteered, annual recognition awards event, and National volunteer week celebration.
